A pre-diagnosis tool for families. Ahead doesn't diagnose — it helps you notice, record, and be ready for the GP.

The GP Summary

Walk in with everything in one place.

A GP appointment is short. The Ahead summary turns weeks of small observations into one clear, organised page — so the time you do get really counts.

Why it helps

Specific beats vague, every time

"Mum's been a bit confused" is hard for a doctor to act on. A dated, organised record of what you've actually seen is something they can work with.

Organised, not a jumble

Grouped by area and ordered by date, so the doctor sees the shape of things at a glance.

Makes short time count

No scrambling to remember on the spot — the detail is already there, freeing the appointment for what matters.

Nothing left out

The quiet moments you'd forget under pressure are captured when they happened, not recalled in a rush.

What's inside

What the summary contains

Observations by area

Your notes grouped across the nine everyday categories.

Dates and frequency

When each change was seen and how often it's come up.

The trend over time

Whether things have been steady, or shifting across the weeks.

Who noticed it

If someone else pointed it out too, that's noted alongside the observation.

It does not contain scores, ratings, risk levels, or any suggestion of a diagnosis — only the observations you recorded. Interpreting them is the doctor's role.

Sharing

Shared securely, on your terms

You decide who sees the summary, and you stay in control of it.

Bring it to the appointment, or send it ahead. Either way, the doctor starts with the facts — not a flustered summary from memory.

A record, not a diagnosis

The GP summary is a record of what your family observed. It does not diagnose, score, or interpret anything — that's for a qualified clinician. Ahead is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Good to know

Common questions

What is the PIN for?

It keeps the summary private. Anyone you share the link with needs the 4-digit PIN to open it, so a forwarded or mislaid link doesn't expose your family's information.

Can I take it to the appointment instead of sending it?

Yes. Open it on your phone in the room, or share the link ahead of time — whatever suits you and the practice.

Does it replace what the doctor does?

Not at all. It gives the doctor better raw material to work from. All the interpreting, testing and diagnosing remains entirely with them.

Can I share it with a memory clinic too?

Yes — the same summary works for a GP, a specialist, or a memory clinic after a referral. Our guide on referrals covers that step.
